The PBO Pledge & Philanthropy:

All members of PBO Benefits Society are invited to read the PBO Pledge – available from their main website.

They are then invited to ACCESS BENEFITS by joining PBO Benefits Society AND make a PERSONAL PLEDGE to other Members of PBO Benefits Society – it is your opportunity to take some RESPONSIBILITY and help with SUSTAINABILITY – for our own future and our  children’s future.

This particular website is where you can make that pledge.

If you are a PBO Member and have something to offer such as  ”Volunteering, Work Experience or Training” opportunities  – this would be fantastic.

Why not make this your PBO Pledge.

Pledge to offer “Work Experience / or something else” on a periodic or regular basis.

Make this available to MEMBERS OF PBO BENEFITS SOCIETY.

How to Pledge:

Spend a little time thinking about what you could PLEDGE to support other PBO Members – write out the PLEDGE in a word document - then copy and paste your pledge in the  ’Leave a Reply’ section below - it will be checked over and approved and then posted up as one of the PLEDGES – within the Work Experience Category / or whatever category is appropriate – which means it will be shown within the Categegory you request.

Writing your Pledge:

  1. We need your Name – This is the name by which you became a member – it could be your name or your organisation.
  2. We need your PBO Membership number – without this we cannot consider and approve your PLEDGE.
  3. We need to know the Category you wish the pledge to be – please choose from one from the Categories List on the right hand side, or suggest a new one – you can select more than one appropriate category.
  4. We need you to write out and provide a ‘Pledge Statement’ – Do it on a word document and then copy and paste it!

EG:

We pledge to provide work experience to other members of PBO Benefits Society. The work experience we offer will be many and varied and may change from time to time. It can be viewed from the ‘Work Experience Category’ on the right hand side.

Initially we will be offering individuals aged 25 - 30 the opportunity to work with disadvantaged children by providing them with a postive practical experience involving physical activity. You must have a clean driving licence and be relatively fit and strong so as to be a good role model for the young people. The work experience will commence on Saturday 3rd March 2012 and will run every week until the 14th July. The ties will be from 08.30 – 12.30am. – Please contact us directly for more details . . . “
